Oh to be a page
To walk through the twisting halls
To wield the power of a sage
To constantly work your legs
Scampering from room to room
Screening nasty notes
Never noted nonetheless
By negotiating negotiators
Deciding whether or not
To deliver constantly

Oh to be a noteworthy page
Looked up to by all others
No place to show one's rage
For the sage-like page can
Send your note to the
One it's intended
Or simply dump it
IN the Center's furnace
To warm all delegates
In their fancy dress

Oh to be a nimble page
To lock everyone out
That is unfortunately out
And lock those in
Who are already in
At the moment when
Previous Questions are
Called upon and the motion passed
To actually move although people speak
Oh to be a page!

Author's Notes:  Wrote during SHSMUN my freshman year.  Yes, it's rather short... and loosely assembled.  Where it's been in my wallet since then, a lot of the words were faded, but I did figure them out.  This is what began writing on free time, so, as a first, it will always be pretty neat.  You may ask, "What is a Page?"  It's one of the people who walks around during a MUN conference delivering the notes from delegation to delegation.  A simple job, but lots of foot time....it hurts!
